Our Story

Kristin Pearson Wilcox, J.D., is the founder and CEO of Capitol Manners. After formal training in U.S. protocol and representation abroad at the U.S. State Department Foreign Service Institute, she received certificates in global business etiquette from the Protocol School of Washington. Kristin has been instructing etiquette since 2016, working with private individuals, institutions, families, national organizations and Fortune 500 company executives. 

She served as a public advocate in the Halls of Congress and the White House for three decades. Traveling around the world extensively, she’s organized and attended countless public functions as the wife of a U.S. diplomat and Maryland municipal official. She frequently entertained legal and Washington, D.C. colleagues at her Capitol Hill home and now house on the Maryland shore. Committed to public service, she serves on the Board of the Friends of the American International School of Budapest, is a meal lead for the Project Echo, emergency shelter for homeless families and proud member of the Ladies of Charity of Calvert County, MD. Kristin is excited to share lessons and stories of her experiences in manners, etiquette, C-suite relations, event planning, entertaining instruction, professional presence, image branding and business protocol services.
